How to Plan A Successful Email Marketing Campaign

Step 1

Write an irresistible subject line. This is the single most important line of your email. It will determine if the recipient will actually become a reader.

Step 2

Keep it simple. Don’t give into the temptation to use tons of animated gifs and blinking arrows to get your readers attention. Use your words instead. Write strong compelling content for your emails and your subscribers are much more likely to keep reading and start clicking to your website.

Step 3

Personalize your emails. This is the number one tool to help build trust in your reader and make them feel like you sent the email especially for them. It’s interesting because even Internet gurus confess to feeling this way even when they know better. It’s a fact, we just like hearing and see our name in print.

Step 4

Don’t try to make the sale in the email. Give your reader enough tempting information that they click through to your website for the rest of the story. Then make the sale on your site. This really does work better than trying to make the sale in your email. It’s a step-by-step process that has been proven to work.
